LAW & GRACE

What is the Protestant understanding on God's law and God's grace?

What is God's grace? It is something we do not deserve! It is God's unmerited favor to us. But there is no need for grace unless there is a law that has been violated. And there is. All have sinned and by the law (of God) is the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20,23; 7:7; 1Cor.7:14; 1John 3:4 etc.) And God's holy, moral and righteous spiritual law cannot be satisfied by the flesh, so we need God's grace.
Jesus kept God's law perfectly. Sin was placed on Him but not in Him, unlike us. Through His supreme sacrifice on the cruel cross of Calvary where he took our place and our sins, He is now in a position to forgive us without by passing His holy spiritual moral law of the 10 Commandments or to water them down to meet us in our fallen condition.

Protestants today are opposing their own heritage! Protestants now believe the opposite of what Protestantism once believed. Protestant Reformer Martin Luther interpreted Romans 6:14 not as the ten commandments being done away and nailed to the cross of Jesus, but as commanded us to keep holy.

This Protestant Leader has this to say: "Sin shall have no dominion over you for you are not under the law but under grace" 6:14 The Apostle here meets the objection: How can anyone resist the onslaught of sin and passion? To this he replies: Sin shall not have dominion over you nor triumph over you, no matter how fiercely it may tempt and assail you, provided you do not yield to it."

"But now we are delivered from the Law (7:6). We are delivered from the Law in the sense that by faith in Christ we obey the Law, and by grace freely and willingly do what the Law demands of us. For this we need (divine) love which seeks what is God's and which is given to all who in true faith ask for it in the name of Christ.---Luther's Comments on Romans, Kregel publ.,p.105, 109 last par., 1976 ed.

This shows clearly how modern Protestantism has 'fallen' from 'grace' and that the most modern Protestant Reformers of the likes of Ellen and James White since 1844 are being called by God to call for 'REFORM', Revival and Repentance.

Babylon is fallen through "SPIRITUALISM" so clearly spelled out in 1.Tim.4 as those of forbid marriage and abstain from meat on Fridays known as the Mother church of Christianity who claims that all Protestants are her naughty daughters who have run away from home. (Rev.17). Many Protestants have now accepted this same spirit of glossolalia or 'speaking in tongues' which so closely counterfeits the true. This now has formed the three fold union so long prophesied in the book of Revelation. The wolf in sheepclothing and satan and his ministers transformed as angel of light (2.Cor.11:14,15) and acting as ministers of righteousness (v.15).

Q.: How will Protestants answer to this call? Will Protestantism raise up against or reform? Has Protestantism ever fallen this low into sin before? How many Protestants are ready today to call the Protestant Reformation a mistake and re-unite with fallen Rome "through" Spiritualism?

Protestant Reformer Martin Luther use to slapp the tongues of glossolalia on the snout! Let us do the same! Their fruit are evil. They call God's law of grace and freedom (James 2:8-12) a yoke of bondage. This is Satan's language.

Christ's language is clearly stated in Matth.5:17-19; Rom.3:20,31 ;1.Cor.7:19; James 2:8-12; Revel.12:17; 14:12; Luke 16:16; Matth.12:8 Christ has also been rejected by this trio as Christianity's great high Priest in the Sanctuary Temple above. Christ has also been rejected as Lord of the Seventh day Sabbath as promoted by the Apostles, Waldensees, Malangthon, Seventh day Baptists, Seventh day Adventists and Christ Himself (Mark 2:27,28).

Protestants have never fully shaken off some of the shackles of Rome and some of the unbiblical heritage. God is no longer calling the Mother to reform but for Christians and Protestants in particular, to flee out of her, to come and be ye seperate from sinners and I will receive you saith the Lord.

Come now, let us reason together saith the Lord and let me write my holy moral Law inside you (Rom.8:3+4) so that you will love me and fulfill the new covenant or testament with Me (Hebr.8:9; 10:16-21). let Christ's grace reign in your your heart and not dis-grace or cheap grace.

Wake up out of slumber please. The devil has made great inroads into Christianity with signs and wonders of occult powers. Let us Protest against the false and counterfeit Christ. Heeding the Elijah message of no longer holding between two opinions, between Baal's false worship and the true.

Protestants who claim to have been forgiven at the cross and be already saved from sin are sincerely mistaken. Jesus says in several places: 'He that endures unto the end, the same shall be saved.' John Wesley, the famous Protestant reformer, tells us that sanctification is the work of a lifetime.' And I agree that we are on probation as a released prisoner from sin until we die. Make no mistake, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

Consider the apostle Paul who wrote this: 'For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.' (Rom.5:10). Notice he doesn't say saved in the first part, but reconciled and in the last part he writes that we shall be! He mentions that we are enemies of God by nature before reconciliation. If we see what he says in Romans 8:7, we can see why: 'because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.'

Saved by the life of Christ can mean only two things, His perfect law-keeping is accredited to our short coming (some are tempted to call our Lord a legalist), and the second part is that Jesus Christ in heaven now is the Mediator and Great High Priest of the born again Christians, and we receive the benefits of His mediation daily. As sinners we love sin and hate truth, we get offended when reproved for wrong doing. But as soon as we accept Jesus into our lives, we start to run from sin.

The good news is, God changes our hearts and minds and writes love for Him and his 'holiness' inside us, under the new covenant/testament agreement of grace, so that the law and grace kissed each other at Calvary and work together in harmony. The 10 commandments are under God's throne of grace in heaven (Hebrews 8:1-5) which He calls the 'Mercy Seat' because God is very, very merciful and gracious in forgiving us our sins at no cost to us, but it costs heaven everything.

The Gospel has now a new element or emphasis it never had before. Since the cleansing of the Heavenly Sanctuary began in 1844 A.D., according to our Lord's direction in Matthew 24:15 which cross references to Daniel 8:13,14 where we see the antichrist removed the knowledge of God's holy Sanctuary from the people and Christianity, the earthly model taught the gospel in detail and was really only a copy of heaven (Hebrews 8:1-5) and in the judgment hour of God was seen in heaven (Revelation 11:18,19) only by those who want to see it. Christianity as a whole has closed the door.

Looking at Revelation 14:6-12, the three angel's messages preached by Protestant Adventists since 1844 A.D. starts with the Gospel. How can judgment be held if the Good News is still in progress? Answer: Only by seeing Jesus changing ministry as our Great High Priest above in 1844 A.D. and notice that in the Old Testament proto type of the sanctuary, the day of judgment called 'Yom Kippur' was not a literal day period. When Jesus returns (advent), He says that He doesn't come to deal with sin, i.e. judgment has already been done before hand. So when John sees the Temple or Sanctuary of God in heaven opened at the day of judgment as Adventists saw in 1844 A.D., we see all of the 10 Commandments. See 1King 8:9 which says that there were the two tables of stone in the ark.

Noah preached 120 years to warn the old world of the coming judgment and destruction. Was he accepted? No, he was laughed at, ignored and hated. Adventists also preach of an ark but a different one to Noah's, and also warns of the coming destruction of the world, only this time by fire. They are also laughed at, ignored and hated. In Revelation we see the good news preached while the judgment is going on at the same time. This is impossible according to the understanding of conventional Christianity. Only as we accept what the bible teaches on this subject! Babylon is fallen, come out of her 'My' people!!!
Make the move now!

To embrace free salvation in Jesus Christ. It is thus that the Law itself, which kills us and damns us in ourselves, justifies us and saves us in Jesus Christ, taken hold of by faith (Rom 3:31).

Do we then make void the law through faith?  GOD forbid: yes, we establish the law.

This is the reason why I have said that the Law and the Gospel are not contrary in that which concerns the essence of the righteousness with which we must be clothed in order to be accepted before God and to participate in eternal life; but they are contrary with regard to the means of having this righteousness. For the Law justly seeks in us this righteousness; it has no regard to what we can do but to what we ought to do (Gal 3:12). Man, indeed, by his own fault alone, has made himself unable to pay; nevertheless, he does not cease to be a debtor even if he is unable to pay. And consequently, the Law does us no wrong in demanding from us that which we owe, although we cannot pay it. But the Gospel, softening this righteous rigour as with the honey of God's mercy, teaches us to pay by Him who has made Himself our Surety, who has put Himself, I say, in our place and paid our debt, as principal debtor, and to the last farthing (Col. 2:13,14). So that the rigour of the Law which made us tremble in ourselves and struck us down completely, now confirms us and accepts us in Jesus Christ. For, since eternal life is due to those who have obeyed the Law perfectly, and Jesus Christ has fulfilled all righteousness in the name of those who should believe in Him and take hold of Him by faith (1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 3:9), it follows that, even according to the rigour of the Law, salvation cannot fail those who, by faith, have become united and incorporated with Jesus Christ.   [by Theodore Beza 1519-1605]
